What you will do

  • Advocate for patients and case managers within the non-emergency medical transportation system.
  • Deliver facility training on NEMT services and the TripCare portal while promoting effective scheduling coordination and information sharing.
  • Build relationships with nursing homes, dialysis clinics, medical providers, and other healthcare facilities through meetings, calls, presentations, and networking.
  • Plan and implement community outreach, educational events, and facility engagement strategies.
  • Analyze standing orders, patient attendance data, community feedback, and stakeholder input to improve quality and develop cost-management strategies.
  • Manage facility coordination and quality assurance activities, sole-source transportation provider contracting, rate negotiations, and outreach reporting.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree required, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Five or more years of experience in member services, transportation services, utilization review management in a health plan, or social work.
  • In-depth knowledge of healthcare facilities, medical groups, clinical case management, discharge processes, Medicaid guidelines, covered services, Medicaid, and Medicare.
  • Strong verbal, written, interpersonal, presentation, organizational, problem-solving, leadership, and relationship-building skills.
  • Technical proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite; advanced Excel skills are beneficial.
  • Ability to travel for business up to 80% of the time and drive between locations.

Nice to have

  • Medical transportation management experience.
  • Facility-based social service program experience, including discharge planning.
  • Clinical, case management, and discharge experience.
  • Advanced Excel skills.
