Senior Systems Engineer (Identity and Access)

Location: Onsite in San Francisco, California, United States

Salary: $130,000–$170,000 USD base salary per year, excluding bonus, equity, and benefits.

What you will do

• Design, implement, and administer end-to-end Identity and Access Management platforms.
• Manage Okta, directory services, MFA, password policies, and SSO integrations.
• Operate SaaS tools including Google Workspace, Microsoft O365, Slack, and Jira/Confluence.
• Oversee Mac and Windows endpoint management through Jamf and Microsoft Intune.
• Build automated workflows for provisioning, deprovisioning, application access, and other IT operations.
• Establish RBAC, entitlement reviews, access certifications, documentation, compliance policies, and escalation support.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience in IAM systems engineering and broad IT infrastructure management.
• Deep hands-on expertise with Okta configuration, policy creation, and application integration.
• Strong knowledge of SAML, SCIM, OAuth, OIDC, IGA, RBAC, and LDAP.
• Experience with Python, Bash, or PowerShell scripting and Okta Workflows.
• Experience managing Google Workspace, Slack, Jira, Jamf, and Intune.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field, or equivalent practical engineering experience; strong problem-solving and communication skills.
