Senior IT Operations Engineer

Location: Onsite in the San Francisco office, United States. Eligibility to work for a US-based employer is required.

Salary: $80,000–$115,000 USD per year

What you will do

• Plan, design, develop, and provide Tier 3 support for end-user support, client engineering, endpoint security, and infrastructure applications.
• Administer Google Workspace, Okta and Workflows, Slack, Jira, Confluence, and MDM platforms.
• Automate IT operations through tooling, integrations, bulk administration, and workflow improvements.
• Execute onboarding and user separation processes and resolve complex support issues.
• Design and maintain systems covering hardware, operating systems, software, networking, videoconferencing, and printers.
• Collaborate with business units on hardware and software evaluations while mentoring junior engineers.

Requirements

• Experience implementing and administering Google Workspace, Okta, Slack, and Jira.
• Experience using GAM or comparable command-line tools for bulk Google Workspace administration.
• Experience administering Kandji or another Mac MDM platform.
• Experience designing and implementing support tools for distributed macOS, Linux, and Microsoft operating systems.
• Excellent communication and organizational skills, with the ability to teach junior team members.
• Eligibility to work for a US-based employer and onsite availability in San Francisco.

Nice to have

• Juniper networking experience and conference-room AV design experience.
• Experience with Okta Workflows, Workato, or similar automation tools.
• Python scripting and AWS experience, including Lambda, CodeBuild, DynamoDB, VPC, RDS, API Gateway, CloudWatch, SNS, SQS, IAM, or SES.
• Relevant industry certifications or a degree in Information Technology or a related discipline.
