Business Development Trainee (Insurance)

Location: Richfield, Ohio, USA; hybrid schedule with on-site work four days per week and one remote day. Day and overnight travel of 10–20% may be required.

What you will do

• Develop skills in market research and networking to identify market trends, customer needs, and competitive conditions.
• Learn to create and execute digital, print, and social media marketing campaigns.
• Build relationships with existing and prospective customers, agents, brokers, and clients.
• Create marketing content including blog posts, social media updates, newsletters, and promotional materials.
• Monitor campaign performance, prospect activity, retention, and new business production.
• Support underwriting, renewal pricing, account development, book-of-business transfers, and contract management as needed.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business, Communications, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Foundational analytical skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to develop proficiency with CRM systems, email marketing platforms, social media management tools, and other marketing software.
• Ability to work under close supervision in a formal six-month-to-one-year training program.
• Ability to work on-site in the Richfield, Ohio office four days per week and travel 10–20% when required.
