Workers Comp Senior Claims Rep Remote-NJ PA MA

Location: Hybrid from the Richfield, Ohio office four days per week with one remote day, or fully remote from the USA if not local to the office.

Salary: $72,000–$82,000 per year.

What you will do

• Manage a workers compensation claims inventory and evaluate compensability and liability.
• Plan and conduct investigations to confirm coverage and assess liability, compensability, and damages.
• Determine and negotiate settlements and reserves within assigned authority.
• Authorize timely payments and maintain accurate claim files, correspondence, reports, and settlement agreements.
• Communicate coverage and settlement information to insureds, claimants, and external partners.
• Participate in arbitrations, mediations, depositions, or trials when required.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Risk Management and Insurance, Finance, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
• At least five years of property and casualty claims-handling experience.
• Knowledge of insurance policies, coverage, claims procedures, industry laws, and regulations.
• Strong analytical, negotiation, problem-solving, interpersonal, and communication skills.
• Ability to organize and prioritize a caseload, resolve claims on time, and handle confidential information discreetly.
• Must be authorized to work in the United States without current or future employment visa sponsorship.

Nice to have

• PA, NJ, or MA state claims-handling experience.
• Completion of or progress toward the Associate in Claims (AIC) designation.
