Senior Energy Market Analyst, Nordics

What you will do

• Own the analytical view of forward power costs and connection availability across the Nordic power market.
• Build quantitative models covering supply and demand, generation build-out, congestion, price areas, forward curves, and market direction.
• Advise on country-by-country grid connection strategy, including queue positions and reservation quality.
• Model the impact of policy and regulatory changes on power costs and connection access, turning analysis into recommendations.
• Provide the energy assessment for go-or-no-go decisions on countries and data center sites with Site Acquisition and Construction.
• Select the data sources, models, and tooling for the energy analytics function while supporting Finance and Global Policy.

Requirements

• Five or more years of experience in energy market analysis, origination, or grid and system planning.
• Deep Nordic power market experience, including direct experience with the Finnish system; experience at a transmission system operator is highly preferred.
• Strong knowledge of spot and forward markets, price areas, congestion, baseload and profiled products, hedging structures, and long-term contract pricing.
• Working knowledge of grid connection processes in at least one Nordic country.
• Strong quantitative and modelling skills, with the ability to defend model assumptions and convert analysis into actionable recommendations.
• Fluent English required.

Nice to have

• Finnish language skills.
• Coverage of another European power market, especially France or Spain.
• Experience with power questions in data centers, industrial operations, or other large-load contexts.
• Established relationships with Nordic TSOs, utilities, regulators, or developers.
• Experience supporting policy or regulatory engagement with quantitative evidence.
