Senior Research Analyst (Europe Gas & LNG Markets): Developing research and commercial insights on European gas and LNG markets with an accent on market fundamentals, infrastructure, pricing, policy, and Northwest European markets. Focus on analysing supply, demand, storage, trade flows, regulatory developments, and translating complex market questions into actionable client insights.
Location: London, United Kingdom; hybrid work with at least 2 days per week in the office. Flexible working is required to accommodate different time zones. Applicants must have the legal right to work in the United Kingdom; employment visa sponsorship is not available.

What you will do
- Contribute to research and market outlooks for European gas and LNG markets.
- Analyse supply, demand, pricing, storage, infrastructure, and trade flows.
- Assess the commercial impact of European policy, regulation, and geopolitical developments.
- Develop insights on Northwest European gas markets, particularly Germany, the Netherlands, and Belgium.
- Engage with clients, respond to enquiries, and support presentations, webinars, and industry events.
- Collaborate with colleagues across Gas & LNG, Power, and Carbon research while supporting knowledge sharing and coaching.
Requirements
- 4+ years of experience in European gas markets, energy, utilities, commodities, market analysis, commercial, strategy, or regulatory roles.
- Strong understanding of European gas fundamentals, including supply, demand, pricing, storage, transportation, and market structure.
- Knowledge of gas infrastructure and transportation networks in Continental Northwest Europe.
- Understanding of trading, procurement, investment, and risk management drivers in energy markets.
- Knowledge of one or more key European gas markets, with Germany, the Netherlands, and Belgium particularly valued.
- Strong analytical, written, verbal communication, and client-insight skills.
Nice to have
- Experience with market modelling or quantitative analysis.
- Experience using Python, SQL, or similar analytical tools.
