Senior Linux Systems Engineer

Location: Full-time, in-office position based at the NYC headquarters in Downtown Manhattan, United States

Salary: $121,400–$150,300 USD per year, with potential bonus, equity awards, and benefits.

What you will do

• Maintain and administer Linux-based systems supporting online games and development environments.
• Perform system patching, routine maintenance, and server migrations.
• Develop standard operating procedures and maintain highly available production environments.
• Support root cause analysis across multiple infrastructure layers.
• Administer monitoring services including Check_MK, Splunk, Grafana, Prometheus, Loki, and Tempo.
• Design and plan infrastructure for upcoming releases while solving difficult operational problems.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience working in Linux environments with HTTP, DNS, LDAP, Kerberos/GSSAPI, and distributed databases.
• Hands-on experience with RHEL or CentOS and configuration management using Chef, Puppet, or Ansible.
• Experience administering high-traffic, multi-system, public-facing environments.
• Experience configuring and maintaining Apache or NGINX servers.
• Experience administering at least one of Elasticsearch, Redis, Mongo, Airflow, Kafka, Zookeeper, MySQL, or PostgreSQL.
• Understanding of TCP/IP, UDP, HTTP/S, SSL/PKI, major CDN providers, Bash/Python/Perl scripting, and REST API automation; a related degree, IT certifications, or equivalent experience is required.

Nice to have

• Experience supporting online game development and production environments.
• General Cisco IOS administration experience, including VLAN and LACP bond management.
• Knowledge of PowerShell.
