IT Systems Engineer (Robotics)

Location: On-site at the Carson, California office, with some travel to customer sites

Salary: $110,000–$145,000 per year, plus equity and bonus opportunities

What you will do

• Serve as the primary IT escalation point and reduce routine IT workload for DevOps and engineering teams.
• Manage PC fleets through provisioning, imaging, Ansible-based configuration, and TeamViewer enrollment for internal and customer-site machines.
• Troubleshoot GPU driver, kernel update, network, activation machine, and license server issues affecting production sites.
• Support access management, onboarding and offboarding, tool integrations, network configuration, and internal IT requests.
• Maintain government enclave operations, including compliance logging and access control, while coordinating with the enclave contractor.
• Establish the IT intake and ticketing workflow, collaborate with DevOps on VPN, DNS, CI runner, and internal tooling tasks, and create clear SOPs.

Requirements

• 2–5 years of hands-on experience in IT systems administration, infrastructure, or a related technical role.
• Strong Linux knowledge, preferably Ubuntu, plus networking fundamentals and configuration troubleshooting skills.
• Experience with configuration management tools such as Ansible.
• Basic scripting ability in Python, Bash, or PowerShell.
• Experience with Docker and Kubernetes.
• Ability to work on-site in Carson, California and travel to customer sites; eligibility under U.S. export-control rules is required, including U.S. citizenship or nationality, lawful permanent residence, refugee status, or asylee status.

Nice to have

• Experience supporting internal employees and external production environments.
• Familiarity with MDM or RMM tools such as NinjaOne, JAMF, or Kandji.
• Exposure to AWS, including storage, EC2, or IAM.
• Knowledge of CMMC, NIST 800-171, or ITAR compliance in enclave or government IT contexts.
• Experience with Prometheus, Grafana, ELK, and writing practical SOPs.
