Auto Damage Trainee (Field)

Location: Downers Grove, IL; field territory covering Lombard, IL. This is not a remote role and requires work in the listed territory.

Salary: $30.53–$47.31 per hour.

What you will do

• Inspect vehicles and assess accident-related damage.
• Prepare vehicle repair cost estimates and negotiate equitable settlements.
• Review insurance contracts and consult with customers and other involved parties.
• Coordinate with body shops, rental companies, and parts providers.
• Manage rental cars and resolve customer concerns.
• Support customer satisfaction through clear, empathetic interactions.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED required; a college degree is preferred.
• Valid driver’s license meeting company underwriting guidelines required.
• Strong customer service, interpersonal, problem-solving, empathy, adaptability, and prioritization skills.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks across platforms in a detail-oriented manner.
• Availability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays.

Nice to have

• Customer-facing experience.
• Experience in a high-volume call center working with KPIs and measurable goals.
• Active adjuster’s license; training and exam fees are provided.
