Location: Dunkirk, New York, United States; onsite. Monday–Friday during standard business hours, with availability for weekends, holidays, and after-hours support. Up to 25% travel may be required.
Salary: $38.95–$43.27 per hour, depending on qualifications, experience, and geographic location. Discretionary bonus and equity award eligibility.

What you will do
- Calibrate, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair process instrumentation, manufacturing equipment, filling and sterilization systems, laboratory instruments, and critical utility equipment.
- Repair or replace mechanical, electrical, electronic, pneumatic, controls, and instrumentation components, including variable frequency drives, motors, relays, transmitters, and control systems.
- Manage and schedule preventive maintenance, corrective maintenance, calibration work orders, and facility shutdown activities through a CMMS.
- Install, modify, commission, and support validation of equipment and systems such as autoclaves, bioreactors, water systems, boilers, chillers, HVAC, and building management systems.
- Prepare calibration reports, work instructions, SOPs, investigation reports, records, and measurement data, including documentation for failed calibrations.
- Conduct facility inspections, oversee onsite maintenance subcontractors, order critical spare parts, and support audits and regulatory compliance.
Requirements
- High school diploma with 9+ years, an associate degree or technical certification with 7+ years, or a bachelor’s degree with 5+ years of relevant GMP facility experience in biotech or pharma.
- In-depth working knowledge of metrology and calibration programs, facilities equipment, preventive maintenance programs, and critical utility systems such as WFI and PUW.
- Experience with computerized maintenance management systems (CMMS).
- Strong instrumentation, mechanical, electrical, controls, and maintenance skills, including analog, digital, frequency, and time calibration.
- Ability to read wiring diagrams, blueprints, and P&ID drawings and to perform hands-on maintenance of process, utility, and facility equipment.
- Working knowledge of cGMP, OSHA compliance, HVAC systems, clean rooms, automated pharmaceutical processing, and plant equipment.
