Senior Human Resources Business Partner (Biotechnology)

Location: On site in El Segundo, California, United States; travel to other sites may be required.

Annual base pay: $155,000–$170,000, plus discretionary bonus and equity award.

What you will do

• Partner with senior leaders and managers on employee relations, investigations, progressive discipline, and employment decisions.
• Coach departmental heads on performance management, compensation, recruitment practices, and management decisions.
• Develop and implement cross-functional HR projects and initiatives.
• Identify training needs and provide coaching, mentoring, and continuous-learning support.
• Research HR trends, analyze people metrics, and develop employee-relations strategies and solutions.
• Monitor HR policies and procedures for alignment with organizational values and labor regulations.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Psychology, Business, or a related field.
• 10+ years of Human Resources experience, including 8+ years as an HR Business Partner supporting multiple senior leaders of large teams.
• Experience working in a fast-paced, high-growth environment.
• Demonstrated knowledge of relevant labor laws and HR practices.
• Experience influencing senior management and departmental heads on people-management policies and procedures.
• Strong communication, analytical, interpersonal, relationship-management, and Microsoft Office skills.

Nice to have

• Master’s degree in Human Resources, Psychology, Business, or a related field.
• HR certification such as SPHR, PHR, SHRM-SCP, or SHRM-CP.
