What you will do

• Develop scanning electron microscopes, detectors, and novel imaging techniques.
• Perform experimental laboratory work and investigate electron optics and electron–matter interactions.
• Build simulations and models of relevant physical phenomena using Python and MATLAB.
• Lead investigations of complex physical problems in imaging and metrology.
• Collaborate with application, algorithms, electronics, and mechanics R&D disciplines.
• Work with external companies and research institutes.

Requirements

• PhD in experimental or applied physics.
• Experience as an experimental physicist and in laboratory work.
• Experience with simulations using Python and MATLAB.
• Experience with SEM/TEM, particle accelerators, solid-state physics, or the semiconductor industry is advantageous.
• Postdoctoral experience is advantageous.
