What you will do

• Support modeling and analysis of advanced wafer-inspection optical systems.
• Assist in the design and evaluation of objective lenses and related optical subsystems.
• Perform optical simulations and tolerance analysis using industry-standard software and proprietary algorithms.
• Collaborate with senior engineers on system architecture and design challenges.
• Work with internal teams and external suppliers to address optics fabrication and manufacturing constraints.
• Participate in experiments, testing, and validation of optical system performance.

Requirements

• Doctorate (Ph.D.) in Optical Engineering, Physics, Mathematics, Applied Physics, Electrical Engineering, or related fields.
• Proficiency with optical design tools such as Zemax, Code V, or OSLO.
• Experience with MATLAB or Python for modeling and data analysis.
• Solid understanding of geometrical optics, physical optics, imaging systems, and optical tolerancing.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

Nice to have

• Experience with UV or deep-UV optical systems.
• Knowledge of optical metrology and fabrication.
• Familiarity with optomechanical systems or semiconductor equipment.
• Experience with simulation tools like COMSOL or Lumerical.
