Commodity Manager (Supply Chain)

What you will do

• Develop market insight and commodity strategies covering cost, lead time, capacity, inventory, technology, and supply risk.
• Lead cross-functional and cross-business-unit sourcing, supply chain, and continuous improvement projects.
• Manage supplier relationships, performance, assessments, audits, and supplier development initiatives.
• Negotiate pricing, quality, delivery, payment terms, contracts, and supplier agreements.
• Analyze and resolve complex supply problems while communicating with suppliers, stakeholders, and management.
• Introduce improved sourcing and supply chain practices aligned with quality, cost, customer service, and inventory objectives.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, preferably Supply Chain or a related field.
• At least 8 years of purchasing experience and at least 3 years in supply chain or strategic sourcing.
• Strong knowledge of source selection, price and cost analysis, negotiation, purchase justification, and documentation.
• Strong written, verbal, interpersonal, negotiation, and stakeholder communication skills.
• Technical competence in interpreting prints and specifications and understanding manufacturing processes.
• Ability to work independently, manage multiple tasks, and understand purchasing law.

Nice to have

• MBA, APICS, or CPM certification.
• Electro-mechanical experience.
• Experience in the vacuum, semiconductor, or contract manufacturing sectors.
