Lead Software Developer (Java, Kafka, Python)

Location: In-office at the Dallas Innovation Center or based in Pittsburgh, Strongsville, Ohio, Dallas, Texas, or Birmingham, Alabama

Salary: $86,250–$172,500 per year, plus incentive eligibility

What you will do

• Lead the technical design and development of scalable enterprise applications using microservices architecture.
• Apply Domain-Driven Design and bounded-context principles to complex software solutions.
• Build event-driven systems with Kafka and develop RESTful APIs and microservices using Java and Python.
• Implement service discovery, API gateways, security practices, and CI/CD pipelines.
• Integrate Azure AI Foundry, Azure OpenAI Services, Generative AI, and LLM capabilities into business solutions.
• Provide technical guidance, review coding and testing work, and facilitate complex problem resolution.

Requirements

• 5–7 years of experience designing, developing, and deploying scalable enterprise applications; roles at this level typically require a bachelor's degree and 3+ years of relevant experience.
• Strong experience with microservices architecture, Domain-Driven Design, bounded contexts, service discovery, and API gateways.
• Proficiency in Java, Spring Boot, Spring Cloud, Spring Security, Python, and RESTful APIs.
• Experience with Kafka, CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, GitHub Actions, GitLab CI/CD, or Azure DevOps.
• Experience with Azure AI Foundry, Generative AI, LLM integration, prompt engineering, or Azure OpenAI Services.
