Lead Software Engineer II – Java & Python

Salary: $100,000–$135,000 per year

What you will do

• Design, develop, and deliver high-quality backend software iteratively.
• Build and enhance distributed, event-driven, and cloud-native solutions on AWS.
• Apply secure, cost-aware, performant, and operationally efficient cloud engineering practices.
• Improve code quality, reliability, performance, developer experience, and system resiliency.
• Contribute to observability through metrics, logging, tracing, dashboards, and alerts.
• Collaborate with Product, Architecture, InfoSec, and DevOps while mentoring and supporting engineering teams.

Requirements

• 4–6 years of professional software engineering experience.
• Strong backend development experience with Java and Python.
• Solid knowledge of SQL, data modeling, query optimization, and relational and NoSQL databases.
• Working knowledge of AWS architecture, services, and best practices.
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines, Docker, container orchestration, and monitoring or observability tools.
• Strong communication, technical documentation, design discussion, Agile collaboration, and leadership skills.
