Principal Manager Governance, Compliance & Controls

Location: Hybrid position based in Rosemead, California, US. Employees are required to work and reside in California unless otherwise noted. The role requires reporting to an SCE facility on set days, remote work on remaining days, up to 10% travel across the SCE service territory, and possible extended work at an alternate location. Relocation does not apply.

Salary: $206,400–$309,600 per year

What you will do

• Lead governance, risk, compliance, controls, affordability, workforce sustainability, vendor oversight, and operational intelligence for Digital Grid Services.
• Direct multiple project control departments and provide portfolio transparency aligned with strategic objectives.
• Lead planning, budgeting, cost estimating, scheduling, performance tracking, and reporting across capital and O&M portfolios.
• Monitor portfolio performance, identify risks and corrective actions, and maintain executive performance scoreboards.
• Collaborate with principal managers and executives on strategic plans and enterprise-wide project control initiatives.
• Shape corporate policies, governance programs, organizational structures, and decision-making frameworks.

Requirements

• At least seven years of experience supervising direct reports and/or managing projects.
• Experience with project control services.
• Experience protecting physical, financial, and cybersecurity assets and managing sensitive customer, proprietary, and medical information.
• Must work and reside in California and report to an SCE facility under the hybrid work arrangement.
• Must pass a NERC/CIP Personnel Risk Assessment or background investigation before hiring and complete required training before receiving unescorted access.

Nice to have

• Experience managing capital and O&M portfolios, including budgeting, forecasting, affordability, and financial performance.
• Experience developing executive dashboards, scorecards, and operational performance metrics.
• Experience establishing enterprise governance processes, decision-making frameworks, and executive review forums.
• Background in utility, technology, engineering, or infrastructure organizations supporting large-scale portfolios.
• Experience improving governance practices, operational effectiveness, and organizational performance while influencing technology, cybersecurity, compliance, finance, procurement, and business stakeholders.
