Senior Manager, Fraud Operations, Investigations & Grey Markets (Gaming)

Location: Hybrid role based in San Diego, CA or San Mateo, CA, United States

Base pay: $165,400–$248,000 USD per year, plus potential bonus.

What you will do

• Lead and develop a global team responsible for fraud monitoring, investigations, abuse prevention, and grey market enforcement.
• Oversee programs addressing account compromise, payment fraud, entitlement abuse, reseller activity, and emerging threats.
• Own chargeback operations and dispute management strategies to improve recovery rates, reduce fraud losses, and protect customer outcomes.
• Develop grey market enforcement strategies targeting unauthorized resellers, promotional abuse, and marketplace manipulation.
• Partner with Fraud Strategy, Data Science, Product, Commerce, Customer Experience, Legal, and Trust & Safety teams on scalable controls and prevention strategies.
• Establish operational KPIs, service levels, quality standards, workforce plans, and executive reporting for fraud programs.

Requirements

• 12+ years of experience in fraud operations, investigations, trust & safety, chargeback operations, or a related field.
• 5+ years of people leadership experience, including experience building and scaling fraud, investigations, chargeback, or risk programs.
• Deep knowledge of fraud typologies, account security, payment fraud, dispute management, digital commerce abuse, and grey market activity.
• Experience leading cross-functional initiatives and influencing stakeholders across partner teams.
• Strong analytical, operational, strategic problem-solving, communication, and executive presentation skills.
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in Business, Finance, Economics, Computer Science, or a related field.
