Financial Planning, Senior Advisor

Location: Hybrid in Rosemead, California, US; employees are required to work and reside in California unless otherwise noted. The role requires up to 15% travel throughout the SCE service territory.

Salary: $161,700–$242,600 per year

What you will do

• Develop financial analysis strategies, forecasts, budgets, and monthly reporting for operating units.
• Evaluate financial performance, business cases, capital projects, investments, mergers, acquisitions, and divestitures.
• Present executive-level financial analysis and recommendations to senior leadership.
• Resolve complex financial issues through cost-benefit, least-cost, and scenario analyses.
• Maintain regulatory compliance, risk management, and effective internal controls.
• Coordinate analyst training and improve financial analysis processes through automation and technology.

Requirements

• At least 10 years of experience in financial planning, financial modeling, and/or forecasting.
• Bachelor’s or master’s degree in finance, economics, business, or a related field is preferred.
• Experience with utility financial planning and accounting methodologies is preferred.
• Experience using SAP, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Power BI, Access, and similar databases is preferred.
• Knowledge of GAAP and other regulatory requirements is preferred.
• Strong presentation, communication, project leadership, and cross-functional collaboration skills are preferred.
