Balance Sheet Specialist (Financial Valuation)

Location: On-site five days per week in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, or Delaware, United States

Salary: $86,500–$158,125 annually, plus incentive eligibility.

What you will do

• Perform valuation analyses and assess the fair value and performance of Commercial Mortgage Servicing Rights.
• Prepare journal entries, balance sheet reports, regulatory reports, management reports, and presentations.
• Conduct P&L attribution, stress testing, risk analytics, and portfolio trend analysis.
• Support servicing-rights acquisitions and bidding decisions through financial and valuation analysis.
• Collaborate with business partners, valuation experts, technology teams, vendors, risk management, audit, and regulatory stakeholders.
• Contribute to model monitoring, back-testing, documentation, automation, and governance improvements.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field, or a comparable combination of education and experience.
• 3+ years of relevant or direct industry experience.
• Experience with financial reporting, financial modeling, and data analysis.
• Knowledge of balance sheet management, asset and liability management, liquidity management, market risk, and the financial services regulatory environment.
• Strong analytical, critical-thinking, communication, and decision-making skills.
• Employment visa sponsorship and STEM OPT participation are not provided.

Nice to have

• Experience with Hyperion, Essbase, Oracle, Python, or VBA.
• Knowledge of GAAP, cash flow statements, credit risk analysis, managerial finance, revenue recognition, or public accounting.
