Senior Finance Manager, P&T

Location: Hybrid in Pleasanton, California, United States; candidates within reasonable commuting distance work in the office at least 3 days per week.

Salary: $175,000–$219,000 per year, plus eligible short- and long-term incentive programs and benefits.

What you will do

• Partner with Product and Engineering leaders on annual budgets, forecasts, and long-term operating plans.
• Monitor and support headcount planning with business partners and talent acquisition.
• Prepare monthly reporting packages, quarterly business reviews, and executive and board presentations.
• Analyze product performance, profitability trends, variance drivers, and product-line financial statements.
• Lead financial evaluation and business case development for product roadmaps, new features, and R&D initiatives.
• Develop capital allocation frameworks, driver-based models, data analytics, and scalable finance system enhancements.

Requirements

• 10+ years of experience in FP&A, finance, accounting, consulting, sales operations, FinOps, or a related business function.
• 6+ years of business partnership experience supporting software R&D or cloud functions.
• Strong technical, analytical, communication, influencing, and financial modeling skills.
• Experience modeling complex concepts and translating business metrics into financial measures using large datasets.
• Finance systems proficiency; experience with Adaptive is a plus.
• Bachelor’s degree in finance, business, mathematics, or another analytical field.

Nice to have

• Understanding of SaaS accounting principles and metrics such as revenue recognition, ARR, and net dollar retention.
• Experience with full P&L modeling and allocation methodology analysis.
• Experience partnering directly with senior Product Management and Engineering leaders.
• SQL proficiency and experience querying large datasets from financial systems, product telemetry, or cloud billing.
• Experience with BI and financial planning tools such as Tableau, Looker, Hyperion, or Anaplan.
