Compliance & Quality Senior Specialist (Energy Efficiency)

Location: Irwindale, California, US. Hybrid work mode with required reporting to an SCE facility for a set number of days; employees are generally required to work and reside in California. The role includes an on-call rotation approximately every four to six weeks for Incident Management Team activations.

What you will do

• Support compliance, quality, and controls activities for energy efficiency programs through data analysis, performance monitoring, and process reviews.
• Formulate positions and draft regulatory filings to support advocacy efforts.
• Monitor, investigate, and review compliance evidence, regulatory proceedings, governmental matters, and audit activities.
• Collaborate with legal, Retail, Government Affairs, regulatory organizations, and other internal and external stakeholders.
• Provide regulatory guidance for growth initiatives, including mergers and acquisitions.
• Participate in industry associations and support emergency response or business continuity activities through the Incident Management Team.

Requirements

• Five or more years of experience with regulatory filings, regulatory proceedings, and compliance standards.
• Bachelor’s degree or higher in engineering, business, finance, or a related discipline is preferred.
• Experience in regulatory compliance within the utility sector is preferred.
• Experience prioritizing and managing multiple projects simultaneously.
• Effective written and oral communication skills.
• Ability to work and reside in California and meet the hybrid facility-reporting requirement.

Nice to have

• Experience with Copilot and other AI platforms.
• Two or more years of experience with PowerApps and Power Automate.
• Experience making recommendations to streamline and optimize business operations.
• Experience with industry associations and regulatory advocacy.
