Trade Compliance Specialist

Location: Davidson, North Carolina. Work onsite Monday through Thursday; choose the work location on Fridays. Up to 10% travel.

Annual base salary: $72,611.66–$101,394.99.

What you will do

• Support the development, delivery, and execution of the standardized Americas import compliance program.
• Assist with investigations, audits, disclosures, root cause analysis, and resolution of import compliance issues.
• Research trade regulations and rulings, determine classification and regulatory bases, and communicate findings to internal clients and service providers.
• Monitor and resolve daily international transaction holds, reviews, inquiries, and information requests.
• Support trade compliance training, recordkeeping, reconciliation, standard operating procedures, and work instructions.
• Identify process improvements, support trade automation initiatives, and coordinate with internal departments across business units.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree.
• 5+ years of experience in international trade and import compliance, including direct experience with Americas import compliance.
• Subject matter expertise in import regulations, classification, valuation, export and import authorizations, and import licensing.
• Fluent written and spoken English.
• Strong Excel and Microsoft Office skills, analytical ability, attention to detail, and capacity to manage multiple priorities.
• Ability to resolve business challenges, work independently and collaboratively, and support compliance metrics and service-provider evaluation.

Nice to have

• US Customs Broker license.
• English and Spanish bilingual ability.
• Project management experience.
• Working knowledge of Oracle and Trade Automation (E2Open).
