Financial Risk & Forecasting Advisor (Energy)

Location: Irwindale, California, US; hybrid work with required residence and employment in California. Employees report to an SCE facility for a set number of days and may work remotely on the remaining days.

Salary: $129,200–$193,700 per year

What you will do

• Project-manage financial planning and strategic analysis initiatives, coordinating subject matter experts and support organizations.
• Develop and validate complex financial models, ensuring the accuracy and integrity of results.
• Analyze spending projections, utility revenue requirements, capital structures, and cost of capital.
• Assess capital project business cases and provide funding recommendations to stakeholders.
• Deliver financial advisory support for investments, mergers, acquisitions, and divestitures.
• Implement risk management and internal control processes while advising cross-functional leaders on financially significant projects and programs.

Requirements

• Seven or more years of experience in financial planning, modeling, and/or forecasting.
• Experience with commercial credit underwriting or public company financial analysis.
• Experience with automation and predictive analytics.
• Experience in utility, energy, banking, or treasury environments.
• Experience negotiating and administering collateral or security instruments.
• Must work and reside in California unless otherwise noted.

Nice to have

• Master’s degree in Finance, Economics, Business Administration, Statistics, Data Analytics, or a related field.
