Financial Planning Analyst (CO2)

Location: Houston, Texas or Midland, Texas. Hybrid schedule with in-office work Monday through Wednesday and remote work available Thursday and Friday.

Energy infrastructure company operating oilfields, plants, transportation pipelines, and renewable and liquefied natural gas facilities across North America.

What you will do

• Prepare and consolidate financial data for bi-weekly forecasts, month-end close, annual budgets, Quarterly Business Reviews, long-range outlooks, and ad hoc analysis.
• Maintain financial models and develop sensitivity and scenario analyses reflecting current operating conditions.
• Analyze monthly financial results, monitor the accounting close process, and investigate variances, drivers, and anomalies.
• Identify and implement financial process improvements while maintaining data accuracy and integrity.
• Contribute to a financial planning application implementation by documenting requirements, improving processes, and validating data.
• Collaborate with Corporate Financial Planning, Segment Accounting, Operations, Commercial Groups, and management.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance or Accounting required.
• At least 3 years of experience in financial analysis and planning.
• Experience with financial modeling, budgeting, and operational analysis.
• Detailed knowledge of GAAP and financial statements.
• Advanced Microsoft Excel proficiency, including VBA and Power Query.
• Strong communication, presentation, problem-solving, prioritization, and critical-thinking skills.

Nice to have

• MBA and/or CPA.
• Experience in the oil and gas industry.
