Underground Civil Quality Control Inspection Specialist

Location: Santa Ana, California, US. Work mode: on-site, reporting to an SCE facility or field location. Relocation does not apply.

What you will do

• Perform on-site inspections of residential tract and developer underground substructure installations.
• Verify materials and construction work against Edison requirements, applicable codes, industry standards, specifications, and regulatory guidance.
• Measure facility locations, document deviations, create as-built drawings, and maintain inspection records and status updates.
• Monitor contractor crews for safe, productive, and quality-focused work practices.
• Lead preconstruction meetings, coordinate project and work-scope changes, and interface with internal personnel, customers, subcontractors, and outside agencies.
• Track warranty corrections and maintain a safety-conscious work environment while protecting company assets and sensitive information.

Requirements

• At least three years of quality control or inspection experience.
• Valid Class C Driver’s License.
• Ability to perform field inspections and interpret applicable construction standards, codes, specifications, and technical requirements.
• Ability to monitor contractor safety and quality practices and coordinate with internal and external stakeholders.

Nice to have

• Experience in project management or underground civil construction.
• Experience in customer service or customer-facing roles.
• Experience reading and interpreting distribution or technical drawings.
• Experience with Microsoft Office, SAP, AutoCAD, and Autodesk Review.
