Electronics Quality Specialist (Aerospace)

Location: Santa Clarita, California — onsite, 2nd shift from 2:00 p.m. to 10:30 p.m.

Salary: $25.38–$33.85 per hour plus shift premium

What you will do

• Perform receiving, in-process, and final inspections of PCBs, cables, wiring, electronic assemblies, components, and system installations.
• Interpret purchase orders, work instructions, engineering drawings, specifications, standards, CAD models, and inspection plans.
• Use calibrated micrometers, microscopes, calipers, height gauges, and other precision equipment to verify dimensional and visual conformity.
• Prepare and review First Article Inspection Reports in accordance with AS9102 and complete inspection reports and MES/SAP transactions.
• Identify, document, and resolve production and test anomalies while supporting corrective action and quality improvements.
• Generate nonconformance reports in SAP, assist with root cause analysis, and provide 2nd-shift quality turnover reports.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent and at least 5 years of relevant experience in aerospace and defense.
• Experience inspecting CCAs, PCBs, machined parts, cables and harnesses, electronic assemblies, and component parts.
• Experience with electronic assemblies, interconnect systems, crimping, soldering, conformal coating, staking, and surface-mount components.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering design drawings and perform detailed dimensional inspections.
• Experience working within an AS9100 quality system and using calibrated precision measurement tools.
• Ability to work onsite in Santa Clarita, California, on the 2nd shift.

Nice to have

• Current or recent IPC-A-610H, J-STD-001, IPC-WHMA-A-620D, IPC-A-600K, AS9102, or ESD certifications, or the ability to complete them.
• Understanding of AS9100 and ISO 9001 QMS requirements.
• Proficiency with SAP S/4HANA or ECC and Microsoft products.
• Technical education or experience and the ability to lift up to 30 pounds.
