What you will do

• Perform special inspections according to approved plans, specifications, building codes, and ICC requirements.
• Inspect reinforced concrete and related structural systems, including masonry, post-tensioned and prestressed concrete, structural steel, bolting, and welding where certified.
• Read and interpret structural drawings, specifications, shop drawings, and applicable codes.
• Document inspection activities and prepare accurate field reports and project records.
• Identify non-conforming work, verify corrective actions, and maintain organized project files.
• Communicate inspection findings and project updates with project managers, contractors, engineers, and client representatives.

Requirements

• At least 2 years of experience in special inspections, construction inspection, or related quality assurance and quality control work.
• Thorough knowledge of construction materials, structural systems, building codes, and inspection procedures.
• Ability to interpret structural drawings, specifications, and construction documents.
• ICC Reinforced Concrete Special Inspector certification required.
• Strong communication, organization, attention to detail, and ability to manage multiple assignments.
• Valid driver's license with a satisfactory driving record.

Nice to have

• ICC certifications in structural masonry, post-tensioned concrete, prestressed concrete, structural steel and bolting, or structural steel welding.
• Additional ICC, AWS, ACI, or related construction inspection certifications.
