Senior Manager, Market Strategy Advisory (Health Insurance)

Location: Remote, with residence required in Arizona, California, Colorado, Florida, Georgia, Illinois, Massachusetts, Michigan, Nevada, New Jersey, New York, North Carolina, Ohio, Pennsylvania, Texas, or Virginia. Travel up to 25% of the time may be required.

Salary: $149,040–$195,615 per year in California, Connecticut, New Jersey, New York, and Washington; $134,136–$176,053 per year in other locations.

What you will do

• Develop market strategies focused on growth, retention, competitive positioning, and long-term performance.
• Analyze market dynamics, product performance, competitive intelligence, regulatory trends, provider dynamics, and financial indicators.
• Lead analyses for new market entry, expansion, portfolio optimization, partnerships, network strategy, and segment-specific growth.
• Develop business cases and support multi-year strategic planning with finance and corporate strategy.
• Lead strategic initiatives and improve execution readiness across market-specific priorities.
• Translate complex strategic intelligence into executive-ready recommendations, presentations, and materials.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree.
• 6 or more years of experience in health care strategy, consulting, insurance product, market strategy, or a related function.
• Experience supporting ACA/QHP health insurance markets.
• Experience leading programs within a matrixed organization.
• Residence in one of the specified U.S. states is required.
• Willingness to travel up to 25% of the time.

Nice to have

• MBA or another advanced degree.
• Experience with market entry strategy, portfolio optimization, or provider/network strategy development.
• Familiarity with ACA market dynamics and competitive landscapes.
• Exposure to value-based care, strategic partnerships, or healthcare ecosystem strategy.
