Employee Communications Senior Advisor

Location: Rosemead, California, US; hybrid work mode with required attendance at an SCE facility and residence in California unless otherwise noted. The role requires up to 20% travel throughout the SCE service territory. Relocation does not apply.

Salary: $161,700–$242,600 per year

What you will do

• Lead the strategic execution of employee communications strategies and measure their effectiveness.
• Develop communication plans, campaigns, editorial pipelines, blogs, fact sheets, site copy, executive emails, and talking points.
• Translate business goals and complex topics into clear, concise messages and visuals for employees.
• Advise leaders and peers on communication practices, risk management, crisis mitigation, and employee experience.
• Plan and produce employee events and share success stories about major company and team initiatives.
• Serve as a Public Information Officer during Incident Management Team activations and emergencies.

Requirements

• 10 or more years of experience in corporate communications in a corporate or agency environment.
• Experience developing communication plans, content, executive communications, and talking points.
• Experience writing in AP Style and applying Smart Brevity principles.
• Experience with employee communication platforms, intranet sites, and SharePoint.
• Ability to communicate effectively with customers, colleagues, field-based employees, and executives.
• Must work and reside in California unless otherwise noted; hybrid facility attendance is required.

Nice to have

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in Public Relations, Journalism, Communications, Marketing, or a related field.
• Experience planning large employee events and developing communications for field-based employees.
• Experience with Salesforce Marketing Cloud, Microsoft Amplify, Adobe Creative Cloud, Canva, Viva Engage, and Microsoft Suite.
• Understanding of content and communication trends and technology.
