Employee Communications Specialist

Location: Onsite at the San Jose Great Oaks Headquarters, San Jose, California, United States

Salary: $87,600–$116,800 per year

What you will do

• Develop and execute organization-wide employee communication campaigns, plans, and stories.
• Create newsletters, FAQs, email communications, intranet content, and internal social media content.
• Manage communication platforms, channels, tools, and the team editorial calendar.
• Identify and source stories that highlight company culture, values, and employee experiences.
• Use video and other media for creative storytelling, including scriptwriting and short-form video production.
• Support All-Hands meetings, respond to employee questions, and report communication metrics to leadership.

Requirements

• 5+ years of internal communications experience.
• Excellent written and verbal communication, content development, and campaign writing skills.
• Experience creating blog posts, video, social media, scripts, or other employee-focused content.
• Understanding of visual storytelling and scriptwriting.
• Ability to build relationships, work with multiple stakeholders, and operate independently in a fast-paced environment.
• Experience building, managing, and engaging employees through an online or internal social media community.

Nice to have

• Agency experience.
• Familiarity with Asana, Smartsheet, Canva, Adobe Creative Suite, or similar creative and project management tools.
• Experience with video, podcast, or other content creation formats.
