Revit Designer (MEP/BIM)

Location: Merritt Island, Florida, United States; hybrid work with a balance of office and remote work. Fully remote may be considered for highly qualified candidates. Travel to project locations may be required, up to 10%.

Salary: $80,000–$95,000 USD per year, plus performance-based bonuses.

What you will do

• Provide MEP drafting and design support for construction, renovation, and facility modification projects at LOD 200, 300, and 350.
• Develop and coordinate HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and fire protection models and construction documents in Revit.
• Set up BIM models, views, sheets, grids, levels, parameters, families, schedules, and project documentation using company templates and project standards.
• Integrate non-Autodesk 3D files and point-cloud data into Revit workflows and support clash detection using Revit and Navisworks.
• Produce as-built and record drawings from contractor redlines, RFIs, field verification, and engineer input.
• Lead QA/QC reviews, coordinate inter-office BIM efforts, and mentor junior engineers and drafters.

Requirements

• At least 6 years of drafting or design experience using Revit and AutoCAD for MEP construction drawing packages.
• Advanced proficiency in Autodesk Revit MEP and AutoCAD, including BIM model setup, MEP families, schedules, coordinate systems, non-native file conversion, and National CAD Standards.
• Experience with BIM standards, BIM Execution Plans, multidisciplinary coordination, construction documentation, and QA/QC reviews.
• Experience with Autodesk Construction Cloud or BIM 360 and the ability to manage multiple projects, priorities, and deadlines.
• Associate degree in Drafting and Design or equivalent experience, plus a valid unrestricted driver’s license.
• Must be a US citizen for security clearance requirements and able to obtain clearance from the Defense Security Service and other federal agencies.

Nice to have

• Experience with Bluebeam Revu, PTC Creo, SOLIDWORKS, Autodesk Inventor, Autodesk ReCap Pro, laser scanning, and Scan-to-BIM projects.
• Experience preparing BIM proposals, scopes of work, assumptions, exclusions, and labor estimates.
• Knowledge of communications, fire alarm, and fire protection systems.
