Designer II - Audiovisual

Location: Remote - United States; occasional travel to client sites and construction environments is required.

Salary: $85,000–$110,000 per year

What you will do

• Develop and update Revit models, drawings, sheets, narratives, calculations, and construction documentation for audiovisual and related technology disciplines.
• Maintain model links, worksets, view templates, naming conventions, and overall BIM model organization.
• Support coordination by incorporating markups, resolving straightforward modeling issues, and identifying conflicts across disciplines.
• Participate in project, engineering, and coordination meetings while documenting design decisions, risks, and updates.
• Support early QA, clash detection, contractor submittal reviews, site verification, and product research under senior guidance.
• Track tasks, time, and expenses across hirify.global tools and contribute basic documentation updates and pull requests in GitHub.

Requirements

• BS in Engineering, preferably Electrical Engineering, Architecture, or a related field; equivalent experience may be considered.
• At least 2 years of AEC industry experience with Revit modeling, drafting, construction documentation, and coordination or field exposure.
• Proficiency in Autodesk Revit and/or AutoCAD, with familiarity with Navisworks or Autodesk Construction Cloud for clash detection.
• Experience maintaining Revit model structure, including links, worksets, view templates, and model organization.
• Knowledge of technology systems and basic engineering principles, including the ability to perform introductory calculations, research, and product evaluations with guidance.
• Must be eligible to work in the United States; visa sponsorship is not available.

Nice to have

• Experience with Telecom/ICT, Audiovisual, Security, Acoustics, Network, or Wi-Fi system design.
• Working knowledge of Bluebeam Studio, Microsoft 365, Google Workspace, Asana, and GitHub.
• EIT, CDT, or introductory Revit/BIM/drafting certifications.
