Senior Android Application Software Engineer (Android)

Location: San Francisco, USA

Salary: $246,500–$290,000 per year, plus a long-term incentive package.

What you will do

• Own the architecture, development, maintenance, and debugging of applications for upcoming consumer electronics devices.
• Design and implement high-performance user-facing applications and interfaces.
• Participate in design reviews and contribute to system architecture and product roadmap integration.
• Collaborate with software, hardware, industrial design, optics, product, and user research teams.
• Document application architecture, testing procedures, and validation results.
• Validate system-level behavior, resolve hardware/software integration issues, and support production debugging.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science or a related field.
• 4+ years of hands-on Android application development and 6+ years of software development experience.
• Strong proficiency in Kotlin and in-depth knowledge of the Android SDK.
• Experience developing user interfaces for large-scale consumer electronics systems.
• Experience with unit testing and UI testing methodologies.
• Ability to independently own complex projects, debug cross-domain issues, and maintain rigorous documentation and testing practices.
