Senior Android Software Engineer (Kotlin)

Salary: $191,000–$215,000 base salary per year, plus bonus, equity, and benefits

What you will do

• Design, implement, launch, and maintain critical user-facing features for a flagship Android consumer application.
• Develop features end to end, including opportunities for cross-platform implementation.
• Participate in code reviews, design reviews, and technical discussions.
• Collaborate with mobile, backend, frontend, UX, product, testing, and quality engineering teams.
• Align Android development with iOS implementation to ensure consistent user experiences.
• Define requirements, design interfaces, implement regulatory protocols, and communicate engineering tradeoffs.

Requirements

• BS in Computer Science or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• At least 5 years of industry experience developing Android mobile applications.
• Strong computer science fundamentals and communication and collaboration skills.
• Professional native Android development experience with Kotlin.
• Must not require employer-sponsored work authorization now or in the future for employment in the United States.

Nice to have

• Knowledge of modern Android frameworks and architecture, including Jetpack Compose.
• Experience with automated testing.
• Full-stack development experience with backend services and web frontends.
• Strong interest in UX and building high-quality public-facing Android applications.
