Location: Hybrid in Redwood City, California, USA

Salary: $155,900–$261,100 annual base pay, excluding equity, performance incentives, and benefits.

What you will do

• Architect, build, iterate, and manage the Android mobile application.
• Lead Android development from API creation through design and implementation.
• Partner with product, design, engineering, QA, and DevOps teams to deliver intuitive user experiences.
• Write maintainable, high-quality code and unit tests covering robustness, edge cases, usability, and reliability.
• Participate in code reviews and improve Android architecture, development practices, and CI/CD processes.
• Lead or quarterback feature development end to end and own high-visibility product areas.

Requirements

• 5+ years of relevant software engineering experience, including Android applications released to the Play Store.
• Experience with Java, Kotlin, Android Studio, Android design patterns such as MVVM and Repository, and Activity/Fragment lifecycle management.
• Knowledge of Android data persistence using SharedPreferences, SQLite, Room, or similar technologies.
• Strong computer science fundamentals, including data structures, algorithms, and software design.
• Experience designing custom UI, using RESTful web services, and applying UX intuition to consumer applications.
• Proficiency with Git, continuous integration tools such as Jenkins, and unit testing with JUnit and Mockito.
