Senior Mobile Engineer (Android)

Location: Remote in Canada; the role may be hybrid with two days per week in the Vancouver office, depending on the candidate's location.

Salary: $199,800–$244,200 per year, plus equity and benefits.

What you will do

• Partner with product and design to define problems, write specifications, and shape customer-focused solutions.
• Build systems that source, match, and surface personalized offers based on customer value, relevance, and business outcomes.
• Develop Android features and contribute to iOS or backend work when required by the problem.
• Design APIs, scalable application architecture, and mobile development strategies.
• Run and instrument experiments including A/B tests, targeting logic, funnels, and retention analysis.
• Lead projects end-to-end from specification through launch and iteration, while mentoring junior engineers.

Requirements

• 4+ years of experience building, shipping, and maintaining mobile applications at scale, with a strong Android focus.
• Fluency in Kotlin and experience with Coroutines/Flow or RxJava.
• Experience with modern Android architectures, Jetpack components, XML layouts, and Jetpack Compose.
• Experience with software engineering practices across the SDLC, including code reviews, Git, CI/CD, automated testing, and mobile release operations.
• Product mindset, strong communication, cross-functional collaboration, and experience owning projects end-to-end.
• Experience mentoring or guiding junior engineers and willingness to contribute across Android, iOS, and backend stacks.

Nice to have

• Experience with mobile analytics and experimentation tools such as Amplitude, feature flags, and A/B testing frameworks.
• Familiarity with identity verification, authentication, and authorization protocols.
• Familiarity with iOS or backend development.
• Experience using AI coding tools and agents in development workflows.
