Senior Software Engineer, Android — AI-Native Client Platform

Location: Mountain View, California, United States

Annual base salary: $118,000–$212,000 USD, with potential discretionary bonus and options depending on the position.

What you will do

• Architect Android systems for the flagship app and new products.
• Drive modularization and extract shared capabilities for use across multiple applications.
• Ship end-to-end user-facing growth, feed, and new-product features through an AI-assisted development workflow.
• Define review standards, safety nets, and release gates for AI-assisted development.
• Solve complex performance and production issues and turn findings into engineering playbooks.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience building Android applications at scale.
• Deep experience with Kotlin and Jetpack Compose.
• Experience owning application-level architecture and its long-term consequences.
• Ability to verify code thoroughly before release, including AI-generated code.

Nice to have

• Cross-platform experience with Kotlin Multiplatform, Flutter, or React Native.
• Experience building developer tooling or CI quality gates that improve team delivery speed.
