Senior Networking Systems Engineer

Location: Remote/teleworker within the assigned territory across Western Pennsylvania, with travel to customer sites as needed.

Salary: USD 146,000–343,000 annual compensation in Pennsylvania, including base salary and target-level sales compensation.

What you will do

• Provide technical pre-sales support from discovery and qualification through solution design and deal closure.
• Partner with Territory Managers to identify opportunities, develop account strategies, and advance customer engagements.
• Design and recommend secure networking solutions for campus, branch, wireless, switching, network management, and security environments.
• Deliver customer presentations, demonstrations, workshops, and proof-of-concept activities.
• Build relationships with IT leaders, architects, technical teams, and executive decision makers.
• Collaborate with product specialists, architects, channel partners, and cross-functional teams while mentoring peers and sharing technical knowledge.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
• Typically 8+ years of experience in networking, systems engineering, consulting, or technical pre-sales.
• Strong knowledge of wired and wireless networking, campus and branch architectures, routing and switching, network security, and network management and monitoring.
• Experience presenting complex technical solutions to technical and executive audiences.
• Strong consultative selling, communication, problem-solving, and customer engagement skills.
• Must reside within the assigned Western Pennsylvania territory and be willing to travel to customer sites.

Nice to have

• Experience with Higher Education, State and Local Government, or Public Sector customers.
• Experience with HPE Aruba Networking solutions.
• Aruba, Cisco, Juniper, or equivalent networking certifications.
• Experience with cloud-managed networking, network security, zero trust architectures, AI-driven operations, automation, or modern network management platforms.
