IT Engineer (Networking & Cybersecurity)

Location: Hybrid work across U.S. hubs, including Arlington, New York, Washington, Boston, and San Francisco; U.S. citizenship required.

Salary: $140K–$180K annually plus equity.

What you will do

• Provide L2/L3 support across macOS, Windows, and Linux hardware, software, operating systems, and connectivity.
• Manage endpoint provisioning, MDM, identity providers, access control, onboarding, offboarding, SaaS platforms, asset inventory, and IT documentation.
• Design, deploy, and maintain LAN/WAN, wireless, VPN, routing, switching, firewall, and multi-site network infrastructure.
• Build and operate classified, air-gapped, multi-enclave, and zero-trust network environments.
• Configure cross-domain solutions for secure low-side to high-side data transfer and manage COMSEC and Type-1/HAIPE encryptors.
• Harden infrastructure to DISA STIGs, support RMF/ATO audits and documentation, automate operations, and provide on-call support.

Requirements

• 6–9 years of experience in IT engineering, systems administration, and/or network engineering, including senior-level support and network build-outs.
• Strong expertise in routing, switching, VLANs, firewalls, VPNs, wireless, TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, BGP, OSPF, and QoS.
• Experience administering macOS, Windows, and Linux endpoints, MDM, identity providers, enterprise network hardware, and complex troubleshooting.
• Experience with secure or classified networks, air-gapped or multi-enclave environments, and cross-domain data transfer.
• Working knowledge of DISA STIGs, system hardening, DoD RMF/ATO, and scripting with Python, Bash, or PowerShell.
• Must be a U.S. citizen. Bachelor’s degree in IT, computer science, or a related field, or equivalent hands-on experience.

Nice to have

• Active U.S. Secret or Top Secret clearance.
• COMSEC, Type-1/HAIPE, TACLANE, Palo Alto Networks, network automation, or infrastructure-as-code experience.
• CCNP, CCIE, JNCIP, PCNSA, Security+, IAT-IAM, or related certifications.
• Familiarity with NIST 800-171, NIST 800-53, CMMC, deployed or edge environments, and defense or intelligence organizations.
