Life Claims Examiner (Life Insurance)

Location: Open to candidates residing anywhere in the United States; must work Eastern Time zone hours

What you will do

• Adjudicate individual life insurance claims and review coverage eligibility and policy status.
• Request proof-of-loss documentation and investigate claim evidence.
• Review and evaluate claim proofs, medical records, and criminal records.
• Determine benefit eligibility and recommend claims for payment or denial.
• Manage a high-volume life claims caseload.
• Communicate with agents, beneficiaries, and attorneys in writing and verbally.

Requirements

• At least four years of experience adjudicating life, health, medical, or disability claims.
• General knowledge of pre-existing conditions, material misrepresentations, and state regulatory compliance.
• Strong judgment, research, organizational, interpersonal, and communication skills.
• Ability to multitask, prioritize, manage high volumes, and work independently and collaboratively.
• Strong PC skills and proficiency with Microsoft Office.

• Experience adjudicating contestable life claims.
