Technical Courseware Developer (Networking)

Location: Remote/Teleworker in the United States

Salary: USD 81,500–187,500 annual base salary, depending on state: Colorado USD 85,600–163,000; California USD 92,700–187,500; Illinois, North Carolina, and Texas USD 81,500–187,500. Variable incentives may also be offered.

What you will do

• Design, develop, deliver, and maintain customer-facing technical content and courseware for HPE Networking products.
• Create concepts, examples, tasks, reference information, installation instructions, illustrations, video scripts, course modules, and in-product guidance.
• Collaborate with stakeholders and subject matter experts to identify product requirements and customer needs.
• Analyze technical specifications and product descriptions to determine effective documentation approaches.
• Use HPE Networking products hands-on to understand the customer experience and produce accurate, easy-to-use content.
• Lead technical documentation efforts involving a small number of technical writers.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience producing high-quality technical content, preferably for advanced software products.
• BA/BS in Technical Writing, English, Computer Science, or a related field, or a networking certification or comparable experience.
• Good understanding of cloud computing, automation, networking, data centers, security, or other advanced software technologies.
• Ability to research complex technical concepts independently and collaboratively, solve problems, and make progress with incomplete information.
• Familiarity with XML authoring, content management, and courseware development tools.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills, including the ability to use AI tools while maintaining high-quality output.

Nice to have

• Hands-on experience with routing, switching, network security, network automation, virtual machines, containers, cloud networking, or data centers.
• Familiarity with DITA/XML authoring principles, Markdown, and Microsoft PowerPoint.
• Experience leading documentation efforts with multiple writers.
• Familiarity with Agile, JIRA, program management methodologies, and HPE Aruba Networking or HPE Juniper Networking products.
• Industry network certifications.
