Business Systems Analyst Sr

Location: Birmingham, Alabama, United States; weekly time in office is required.

What you will do

• Analyze business requirements and production specifications for technology application changes.
• Define system scope and objectives based on user needs and business processes.
• Translate business intent into scenarios, system requirements, use cases, system flows, and technical capabilities.
• Manage MVP identification, dependency sequencing, feature definition, effort scoping, team backlogs, roadmaps, and release planning.
• Coordinate between product owners or product managers, development staff, architecture and design teams, and other stakeholders.
• Lead business process improvement and change management initiatives while mentoring junior analysts.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree and 2+ years of relevant professional experience, or a comparable combination of education, certifications, and experience.
• Experience with requirements analysis, business process modeling, workflow analysis, technical documentation, and system scope definition.
• Knowledge of Agile methodologies, including Scrum, Kanban, and SAFe.
• Ability to communicate with stakeholders, facilitate high-stakes discussions, negotiate priorities, and influence change.
• Experience with Jira, Confluence, ServiceNow, Microsoft Office, Postman, SoapUI, and Dynatrace.
