Contractor Program Security Officer (CPSO) (Aerospace)

Location: Los Angeles, CA, USA; regular onsite presence within classified SCIF and SAPF facilities is required. Occasional travel to government sites or other company locations may be required.

What you will do

• Serve as the primary security authority for assigned SCI and SAP programs and provide daily guidance to program personnel.
• Develop and maintain Program Security Instructions, Security Classification Guides, and other program security documentation.
• Conduct security briefings, debriefings, indoctrinations, access-roster management, visit requests, and personnel security recordkeeping.
• Ensure compliance with NISPOM, ICD 705, ICD 503, DCSA requirements, and applicable SAP directives.
• Support SCIF and SAPF construction, modification, accreditation, inspections, access control, and emergency security procedures.
• Oversee classified material handling, personnel clearance actions, insider threat activities, classification management, and security incident investigations.

Requirements

• Active DoD Top Secret clearance with SCI eligibility, a current investigation, and the ability to maintain Top Secret clearance with Special Program access.
• 3–5 years of experience as a Program Security Officer, CPSO, or in an equivalent classified SCI or SAP environment.
• Working knowledge of NISPOM, Intelligence Community Directives, and DoD SAP policies and directives.
• Experience managing SCIF and/or SAPF accreditation processes.
• Familiarity with DISS, NBIS, SIMS, or similar personnel security systems.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills, independent judgment, and the ability to handle sensitive or ambiguous situations.

Nice to have

• Bachelor’s degree in Security Management, Cybersecurity, Intelligence Studies, or a related field.
• SPeD certification such as SFPC or SAPPC, NCMS Industrial Security Professional certification, or a similar credential.
• Experience supporting multiple government programs, COMSEC oversight, or military and government security operations.
