Contractor Program Security Officer (Aerospace)

Location: Los Angeles, United States; regular onsite presence is required within classified SCIF and SAPF facilities. Occasional travel to government sites or other company locations may be required.

Salary: $130,000–$150,000 per year, plus equity.

What you will do

• Serve as the primary security authority for assigned SCI and SAP programs.
• Develop and maintain Program Security Instructions, Security Classification Guides, and other security documentation.
• Conduct security briefings, debriefings, indoctrinations, access roster management, and visit request processing.
• Support NISPOM, ICD, DCSA, and Special Access Program compliance reviews, inspections, and corrective action plans.
• Oversee SCIF and SAPF accreditation, access controls, classified material handling, and physical security procedures.
• Manage personnel security actions, insider threat activities, security incidents, classification management, and coordination with ISSOs, ISSMs, and government representatives.

Requirements

• Active DoD Top Secret clearance with SCI eligibility and a current investigation, with the ability to maintain Special Program access.
• 3–5 years of experience as a Program Security Officer, CPSO, or equivalent in classified SCI or SAP environments.
• Working knowledge of NISPOM, Intelligence Community Directives, DoD SAP policy, and related directives.
• Experience managing SCIF and/or SAPF accreditation processes.
• Familiarity with DISS, NBIS, SIMS, or other personnel security systems.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills, independent judgment, and the ability to handle sensitive situations.

Nice to have

• Bachelor’s degree in Security Management, Cybersecurity, Intelligence Studies, or a related field.
• SPeD certification, such as SFPC or SAPPC, or a similar professional security credential.
• NCMS Industrial Security Professional certification.
• Experience supporting multiple government programs, COMSEC procedures, or prior military and government security work.
