Lead Application Developer (Java)

Location: Fully remote; Georgia

Salary: $120,000–$125,000 per year

What you will do

• Design, develop, code, unit test, debug, and support enterprise systems and web services.
• Analyze business needs, system requirements, information flows, and technical feasibility to develop effective solutions.
• Write technical specifications, test plans, system documentation, flow charts, and coding structures.
• Lead system creation, project planning, coordination, proposals, estimates, and stakeholder presentations.
• Provide production and lower-environment on-call support and ensure secure coding practices.
• Train and mentor developers, contractors, and business personnel without formal supervisory responsibility.

Requirements

• 4–5 years of experience and participation in several major system projects.
• Degree or equivalent experience in computer science, computer engineering, or a related field.
• Strong Java development experience with web-service frameworks such as Spring Boot, J2EE, or NodeJS/NestJS/Express.
• Experience with CI/CD, container management, databases, JDBC, SQL, JSON/XML parsing, and JUnit-based unit testing.
• Knowledge of messaging platforms such as IBM MQ, Kafka, or Apache MQ, plus design patterns and troubleshooting tools.
