Lead Java Developer (Cloud)

Location: Hybrid; candidates must live or relocate within a 180-mile radius of Bloomington, Illinois; Dunwoody, Georgia; Richardson, Texas; or Tempe, Arizona, with regular office attendance.

Salary: $81,000–$142,000 per year, plus potential yearly incentive pay of up to 15% of base salary.

What you will do

• Build and support Java services for user provisioning, role-based access, directory management, and access governance.
• Design secure authorization patterns, permissions logic, and controlled workflows for enterprise contact-center tools.
• Develop REST APIs and integrations connecting internal platforms, identity systems, and downstream applications.
• Modernize enterprise data assets and support migration to a relational data store.
• Improve CI/CD automation, observability, containerized delivery, reliability, and production support.
• Collaborate with product, UX, security, and engineering partners; conduct code reviews, mentor colleagues, and create technical documentation.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience building secure enterprise software with Java.
• Strong API design and integration skills.
• Experience with AWS cloud architecture and Terraform infrastructure as code.
• Experience with GitLab CI/CD pipelines, Docker, and Kubernetes.
• Knowledge of secure coding, compliance, auditability, testing, and technical documentation.
• Must be eligible to work lawfully in the U.S. immediately; U.S. work authorization sponsorship is not available.

Nice to have

• Experience in contact centers, workforce management, identity and access management, or regulated enterprise domains.
• Familiarity with role-based access control, user provisioning, or directory systems.
• Experience improving operational workflows and building durable platform capabilities.
• Interest in using emerging AI technologies to accelerate development.
