Java Developer (Fintech)

Location: Krakow, Poland; hybrid model with 3 days per week in the office and 2 days for a parent of a child up to 4 years old

What you will do

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable Java-based applications and services.
• Build and enhance distributed systems and microservice-based solutions.
• Write clean, maintainable, and well-tested code following engineering best practices.
• Develop automated tests and support CI/CD and deployment automation.
• Collaborate with product owners, architects, engineers, and business stakeholders on technical solutions and architecture decisions.
• Troubleshoot performance, scalability, reliability, security, and production issues using logs, metrics, and monitoring tools.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
• 1+ years of experience with Java, Spring Framework, and Spring Boot.
• Solid understanding of software engineering principles, object-oriented programming, and design patterns.
• Experience with SQL, relational databases, distributed systems, and service-oriented architectures.
• Familiarity with automated testing frameworks and CI/CD practices.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

Nice to have

• Experience with Kafka, Kubernetes or OpenShift, API development, and application infrastructure.
• Knowledge of performance optimization and secure software development practices.
