Inventory Specialist (Supply Chain)

What you will do

• Coordinate daily warehouse activities, including receiving, staging, issuing, transporting, and fulfilling material or plate orders.
• Perform cycle counts, reconcile discrepancies, conduct root cause analysis, and report inventory findings.
• Monitor inventory plans, stock levels, shortages, overages, slow-moving materials, obsolete stock, waste, and damage.
• Coordinate incoming freight and returns with suppliers, investigating and resolving receiving discrepancies.
• Collaborate with procurement, supply chain, laboratory, and production teams to maintain material availability.
• Maintain clean, organized storage areas and comply with OSHA, FDA, cGMP, quality management, and documentation requirements.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent required; an associate’s degree in Supply Chain, Business, or a related field is preferred, and a bachelor’s degree is a plus.
• 3+ years of inventory control or warehouse operations experience, preferably in a regulated environment.
• Knowledge of cGMP, USP, ISO 17025, and FDA regulations.
• Proficiency with ERP systems and Microsoft Office; cycle counting and root cause analysis experience required.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand or sit for extended periods, including prolonged computer use.

Nice to have

• Hazardous materials handling experience or relevant certification.
• Professional supply chain management certification.
